Welcome to my blog, Stop Pain FAST!


I've been a NY State licensed massage therapist since 1989, specializing in the treatment of chronic pain and sports injuries. My therapy practice was primarily with athletes who kept causing repetitive strain injuries to their muscles, and with people who had suffered for years (in most cases) with pain that wasn't getting relieved by the conventional therapies. During that time I had a lot of my own injuries, but I couldn't find anyone who would treat my muscles the way I knew they needed to be treated. It was definitely a frustration.

It turned out that my bouts with frozen shoulder, whiplash, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, low back pain and so many other painful situations, were a blessing in disguise. I got so frustrated looking for help that I figured out how to do the treatments to myself, then I realized that if I can treat myself, I can show you how you can treat yourself.

As a result I've been a virtual therapist to thousands of people all over the world and I know that my self-treatments are successful for the vast majority of people.

In 1997 I developed carpal tunnel syndrome in my left wrist, which caused not only severe pain, but also numbness in my hand and fingers. My therapy practice was closed and I was faced with the reality that I couldn't be a therapist any longer. That was devastating to me, but again it was another blessing in disguise. I was forced to figure out what was causing this pain, numbness, and debility, and this led to the development of the Julstro System for Repetitive Strain Injuries of the Hand and Wrist and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. In 2001, along with Zev Cohen, MD, I wrote "Carpal Tunnel Syndrome - What You Don't Know CAN Hurt You." I now teach people how to release hand/wrist pain and numbness, and carpal tunnel syndrome, through a DVD program and I also speak at conventions and teach workshops around the USA.

My work with endurance athletes led me to write "The Pain-Free Triathlete, which is now a Home-Study course for fitness trainers. My newest book is titled "Treat Yourself to Pain Free Living," and I've also written "Pain-Free Golf," "Pain Free Running," and three DVDs that teach people how to self treat muscles from their head to their feet.

I've closed my therapy office, but I still work with people who travel to see me for private consultations, and I also do telephone and email consultations.

I love teaching the Julstro Self-Treatment clinics because I meet so many wonderful people. It's also fun working with fitness trainers, showing them how they can help their clients to improve their performance levels by releasing tight muscles and improving range-of-motion.

The best part is helping people all over the world to stop pain FAST, and showing them how they can treat themselves to pain free living!
